Synopsis
A screewriter's
concept goes south during a surreal development meeting as two fast-talking
studio executives proceed to turn his script concept into a T&A laden,
gun fest driven, car chase between two hot & sexy females, in order
to conform to a Hollywood style commercial marketing strategy. (Action

Sunday February 5, 2005
- Pre-production begins with test shoot to validate the use of 1/18th
scale model cars as part of a pyrotechnic special effects. The cars were
wired with small highly controlled explosives, and electrically detonated.
The tests were conducted against green screen and captured using a high-speed
Arri 35-3 35mm camera operating at 120fps in order to compensate for the
car's scale. 800ft of film was exposed and sent to DuArt in NYC for processing.
Saturday February 12, 2005 - DigiBeta, MiniDV dubs, as well as film prints were received from DuArt. The footage was analyzed, and the results from the test were very encouraging, showing that the scale model cars looked very realistic and consistent with the behavior of full size cars when subjected to explosives. This test validates the use of the Arri 35-3 camera operating at 120fps in order to slow the action of the 1/18-scale model cars to simulate the inertial forces of the real thing.

Saturday February 26, 2005 - Downtown Phoenix is scouted for suitable locations to be used for chase sequences.
Monday March 7, 2005 - Amy Weber joins the cast to play the title role of Diablita.
Wednesday March 16, 2005 - Downtown tempe location of Mill Avenue and 5th street, as well as the Northbound Mill Avenue bridge, and the access as well as the drives along the North side of Tempe lake, are secured for June 12th filming of action chase sequences.
Tuesday May 17, 2005 - Jeff Fahey (Silverado, Lawnmower Man, Wyatt Earp) signs on to play Bill Rockwell
Friday May 20, 2005 - Jeff Fahey flies into Phoenix to begin preparations for Principal Photography
Saturday May 21, 2005 - Principal Photography begins - View Productions Stills
Monday May 23, 2005 - First weekend of Principal Photography was completed successfully. Next shoot date scheduled for July 23rd and 24th.
Friday June 22, 2005 - Volarefilms LLC receives additional funding from Scottsdale based private placement investors for the completion of principal photography, post production, and marketing in preparation for Diablita's festival run
